Concert against human trafficking

Singer/songwriter PW Gopal will be back in the Iowa City area, this time appearing at the Big White House in Coralville at 6:30 p.m. THIS Thursday, February 25. Gopal will be playing in support of Not For Sale, an organization dedicated to end human trafficking. Hors d'ouevres will be served at 6:30 p.m., with the show beginning at 7 p.m. A suggested donation of $10 will be accepted at the door, though reservations are required due to limited space. Reserve your seat by emailing in today!

House church leaders meeting

Just a reminder that there will be a house church leaders meeting at 6:30 p.m. next Wednesday, March 3, at the Creekside Chapel.

Couples Conference

Hey all you married folks! Do you have that "Time to Remember," when you made a lasting memory with your husband or wife? Well, that is the theme of this year's Couples Conference, which will take place March 27 and 28 at the Lodge Hotel and Conference Center in Bettendorf. Speaking this year on ways to be intentional in building up your relationship will be Pastors Kurt Jurgensmeier of Cedar Rapids, Brian Massman and Jack Redmond of Dubuque, and our very own Joe Abdo.

To register, email Rebecca Bendixen at New Life Church in Cedar Rapids, letting her know your names, home church, phone number and if you need infant/nursing infant child care (the cost will be offered during the teaching sessions for $10 per child). Payment of $20 will be due when you check into the conference.

You also will be on your own for meals and for making room arrangements with the hotel. To get a room, call the Lodge at (563) 359-7141 and ask for "GC Marriage Conference" to get the pre-registered price of $70 by February 27. For more information, email Dan Bovenmyer.

GCLI in March

It's that time of year again, when GCLI will be held for aspiring leaders and others who want to learn more about getting closer to God. It will take place on Friday March 5 at 6:30pm to Saturday March 6 at 3 pm.  We will be meeting at the Holiday Inn in Rock Falls, Illinois (about two hours east of Iowa City). Faithwalkers teachings available

Was there that particular Faithwalkers teaching you missed because of a schedule conflict, or is there one you just want to hear again? Well, teachings from the recently Faithwalkers West conference in Omaha are now available online at the official Faithwalkers Web site. Teachings from the Faithwalkers East conference in North Carolina are also now available. Check them out, download them and listen to them today!
